A PERSON on test for killing their wife said and sobbed he felt completely ashamed for being unsure of the pain sensation she was at.

Neil Crilley, 77, reported he just realised their spouse Maureen’s agony whenever physicians had been evidence that is giving their trial.

“When there clearly was a scheduled appointment she’d conceal it and didn’t say.

“I am completely ashamed.”

Mr Crilley stated he had been unaware that their spouse had been lying inside her own filth and had two sores festering on her back – one of these the dimensions of a saucer.

He said: “She was cleansing by herself as she stated I happened to be fat handed.

“I completely failed her and we don’t desire to live – we don’t deserve to reside.

Mr Crilley included that their wife “begged” him never to phone an ambulance and asked him to go out of it until the following week to improve.

Prosecutor Richard Goddard QC told Mr Crilley it was “inevitable” she would definitely perish, he replied: “I agree with this but I would personally have phoned an ambulance if we knew.

“I knew she dropped but i did son’t understand if she possessed a broken leg or if perhaps it had been fractured.

“I’m perhaps maybe not educated or even a person that is medical we truthfully did not understand.”

A pathologist told jurors yesterday that Mrs Crilley had broken her leg that is left in places.

Another medical practitioner stated she will have survived if hospital treatment have been tried straight away.
