Meet Umesh Chand, 25 years old.

1. What do you do at Kitty Su?

I’m a Bar supervisor at Kitty Su. I supervise the bartenders to make sure they follow proper procedures for making drinks, use the right garnish and ingredients and also maintain hygiene around the bar.

2. How long have you worked here?

Over 1 year, I joined with the beginning of Kitty Su on the 20th of July 2011.

3. What do you like most about your job here?

The best thing about working in Kitty Su is the music and also the fact that I can live out my passion of bartending.

4. Which DJs were your favourite among the ones who’ve performed in the club?

I loved Dj Kiss and Bob Sinclair’s performances even though I was really busy behind the bar on both nights.

5. Whats your favourtie innovation when it comes to a cocktail?

It’s a cocktail called Blood on the Rooftop, a variation of LIIT where at the end instead of topping it up with coke I use red wine. It gives the drink a sour flavour, which girls in particular enjoy.

6. Your reccomendation for a drink for this season?

These couple of months have been humid and hot so people like drinks that are refreshing and have a bit of citrus in them. The mojito has been very popular since it has mint and lime with ice.

7. Apart from Kitty Su, what’s your favourtie spot in the hotel?

The Chinese restaurant on the 28th floor called Woks. It has an amazing view of the city and the ambience is really romantic with an artificial pond which has fishes swimming in it. Also elements like the candle light and use of bamboo makes it really nice.

8. What do you like most about Delhi?

Every thing is available in the city in terms of food, night-life, shopping, space and transportation so that’s really cool.
